Local Food and Drink

Nellie Crumb

Loved it. Three of us enjoyed a cooked breakfast with lovely coffee by the traditional wood fire in February. The building has authentic wood beamed ceilings. It's a fitting establishment in the little Saxon town that the the of us fell in love with because of the history, river and great shops, especially the hardware shop, what a find, like Aladdin's cave.

Sainsbury's

South St, Wareham BH20 4NX, UK – 01929 498700

A small town centre supermarket. Wareham is a really great 'old fashioned' town with all local services. Worth a visit.

Good place to buy your weekly shop. Plenty of choice, prices vary but usually some bargains to be had if you can find them. It's a smaller shop and they is very limited parking which is not free.

The Salt Pig

6 North St, Wareham BH20 4AF, UK – 01929 550673

Been here a few times and the coffee is excellent. I can also recommend the bacon sandwiches, they are fantastic. It's located near one of the town's car parks so not far to walk. There is plenty of seating and the staff are really friendly. Great place for a coffee and a bite.

Food and service excellent good to know all the food is locally sourced. Best tasting pork I've had in years. Some might find it cramped don't be put off by this.

BigBarn has a totally brilliant map for Dorset showing all the local food producers. So if you want to know where your food comes from look no further!
