Kemps Country House

East Stoke, Wareham BH20 6AL, UK – 0845 862 0315

The hotel is in a lovely location, very quiet and green but not far from local attractions and the service was warm and friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable and with plenty of amenities, and the air conditioning was welcome due to the warm weather. Breakfast was great, good selection of hot dishes and quality ingredients, and the dining room was nice and airy. Altogether a great place to stay, and I wouldn't hesitate to return when visiting the area in the future.

lovely guest house, good sized rooms, well equipped. Friendly staff and well cooked breakfasts. Ideal location for the Purbecks and surrounding area

The Priory Hotel

Church Green, Wareham BH20 4ND, UK – 01929 551666

Myself and my wife stayed here for the night in the Kingfisher suite and we thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing break here. We took the river cruise down from Poole Quay one way and the hotel is a stones through from where you get off at Wareham. The dinner, breakfast, scones & tea are lovely and the gardens are a nice to be able to take a stroll around, you can even have game of croquet if it takes your fancy. We loved our stay and would definitely come here again.

The food here is fantastic. Couple that with the fantastic service which is always available and you have one of the best restaurants in Dorset.

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation plus Guesthouses

TWIGA HOUSE BED AND BREAKFAST

6 Sandford Rd, Wareham BH20 4DH, UK – 01929 554438

We stayed at Twiga house and it was lovely we couldn't fault it! The owners were delightful! Our room was beautiful, nothing was too much trouble. If we went to that area again we stay there! The breakfast was lovely too.

Stayed here 20/21 May 15, what a fantastic place this is, it is 5* all the way, ideally situated for the rail station, town centre and various walks, also not far from a whole boatload of attractions and Jane & Alan are superb hosts with very warm & friendly personalities. We stayed in the room overlooking the garden, it is very light and spacious with a lovely en suite with bath & shower, more than adequate closet & drawer space and brilliant tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities with fresh milk and lovely biscuits. Robe, slippers & hairdryer are all provided! Jane even came into our room in the evening while we were out to put a light on for our return & a very nice touch was the chocolate she left us both! Breakfast.....well where do I start and what can I say to make you realise how delicious this was? An extensive menu of locally sourced items, gorgeous fresh fruit, cereals & yoghurts...Eggs Royale are a MUST!!! I had them both mornings and they were done to perfection, so tasty and filling. There was a German couple there the 1st morning & they had the continental option and that looked absolutely delicious, I had to stop myself stealing the cheese and ham they left behind! We take our hats off to you Jane and Alan, this is by far the best B&B we have ever had the pleasure of staying in, thank you for making it so good.

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Manorfarm Caravan and Camping

1 Manorfarm Cottage, Wareham BH20 6AW, UK – 01929 462870

A lovely clean site, very quite and peaceful, site owners are very helpful and friendly. Showers and toilets are always clean, the site is very neat and well presented. Access might be tight for the larger caravan if approaching from the north. We spent a week here and had fantastic weather which always helps. Lots to do in area and only 5 to 10 min drive from the beautiful Lulworth Cove, and about 12 miles from Poole. We would visit again if in the area and would recommend this site to anybody who prefers the quieter site, 5 star.

Nice owner, nice site!

Hunter's Moon Caravan Club

Bere Rd, Wareham BH20 7PA, UK – 01929 556605

We stayed for 3 nights and were warmly welcomed by the warden. The site was clean and tidy,as were all the facilities. We found plenty to do in the local area and thoroughly enjoyed walking through Wareham Forest. We found the Hillfort, walked to Wareham (a lovely traditional town) and enjoyed a delicious meal at The Silent Woman pub just down the road (although we found it safer to walk through the forest) We look forward to many return visits x

Excellent club facilities, close to the lovely little town of wareham. On 20 minutes drive to Swanage, 30 minutes to Poole, 35 minutes to Weymouth. ..what more could you want. ..

The look out is a good place too stay if you like too visit lots of different places

Loved it, we got a pitch right by the park so the kids could play there until sunset. Lovely clean facilities and a cracking little shop. Will definitely be returning.
