We stopped off for a quick bite and to sample some local Ales. The food was nice and the ales were lovely. The interior was luxurious and had a homely feel. There was more than enough space to ensure a bit of privacy. The locals made us feel right at home upon arriving at the pub, which isn't always the case when visiting a small village.
Came for food and was very happy. Very friendly, efficient service, good food and nice decor. I found the menu a little limited but still had enough options to suit our group.

Lovely Hotel with lovely gardens and leisure facilities. Sadly the outside pool is still not in use and has been like this for the last 3 weeks. Still like this, as of 12th July 2017. The pool opened last week (August 2018). Sadly our membership finished the end of July. Decided not to renew !
Love visiting this hotel, staff are lovely, the rooms very nice (no a/c) food ok. I visit the king's head down the road more for the change of scenery, however, the food is nice there also.

Lovely setting by the river. A few months ago we were disappointed with the limited menu. We decided to try it again today. I'm so glad we did. I ordered Scallop and Parmesan Risotto. It really was the best risotto I have had. My husband ordered Woodland Chicken which he said was delicious followed by sticky toffee pudding. Good service. Friendly staff. Perfect meal. We'll definitely be returning soon.
Service fantastic. Chicken and Bacon salad really nice. Sat outside with view of river. Will definitely be going back 😊

Here for a birthday party. Excellent food and plenty of it. Staff very friendly and efficient. Great time had by all. Will still keep coming.
Enjoyed a Lovely meal at the Sandford. The to.e made onion rings were delicious ( I don't normally like onion rings) very generous portions at a reasonable price. 5* service from our waitress Naomi

Tasty food, dogs welcome, and fully accessible with a disabled toilet. We sat outside as it was 30 degrees! Trees shade a couple of tables, but lots of others have umbrellas, and ones that are separate so you don't have to have half the table in the sun. Tupperware containers with water all round for the dogs, and tables on level hardstanding as well as on the grass, even a slope up to an open green space with a play area at the end, albeit gravel. One of the most accessible places I have been to. A good tab system where your card is locked and you get a key to release it later. Probably gets very busy at weekends. Order and pay at bar on a Monday lunchtime. Not a tremendous view, but certainly green and pleasant round the back. Full marks well deserved :)
This pub felt bustling without being too noisy. We were in the window by the bar, and it felt quiet enough, though the staff were clearly busy with people elsewhere inside and outside. The food was a little pricey, but it was tasty. There was also a great selection of real ales, and judging by the questions from the locals, the selection changes regularly.

We stayed at Twiga house and it was lovely we couldn't fault it! The owners were delightful! Our room was beautiful, nothing was too much trouble. If we went to that area again we stay there! The breakfast was lovely too.
Stayed here 20/21 May 15, what a fantastic place this is, it is 5* all the way, ideally situated for the rail station, town centre and various walks, also not far from a whole boatload of attractions and Jane & Alan are superb hosts with very warm & friendly personalities. We stayed in the room overlooking the garden, it is very light and spacious with a lovely en suite with bath & shower, more than adequate closet & drawer space and brilliant tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities with fresh milk and lovely biscuits. Robe, slippers & hairdryer are all provided! Jane even came into our room in the evening while we were out to put a light on for our return & a very nice touch was the chocolate she left us both! Breakfast.....well where do I start and what can I say to make you realise how delicious this was? An extensive menu of locally sourced items, gorgeous fresh fruit, cereals & yoghurts...Eggs Royale are a MUST!!! I had them both mornings and they were done to perfection, so tasty and filling. There was a German couple there the 1st morning & they had the continental option and that looked absolutely delicious, I had to stop myself stealing the cheese and ham they left behind! We take our hats off to you Jane and Alan, this is by far the best B&B we have ever had the pleasure of staying in, thank you for making it so good.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

A lovely clean site, very quite and peaceful, site owners are very helpful and friendly. Showers and toilets are always clean, the site is very neat and well presented. Access might be tight for the larger caravan if approaching from the north. We spent a week here and had fantastic weather which always helps. Lots to do in area and only 5 to 10 min drive from the beautiful Lulworth Cove, and about 12 miles from Poole. We would visit again if in the area and would recommend this site to anybody who prefers the quieter site, 5 star.
Nice owner, nice site!
Hunter's Moon Club Site, Cold Harbour, Wareham, Dorset BH20 7PA, UK – 01929 556605
Great site, good pitches. A good site as a base if you're travelling by car - it's directly on a busy road, little options for local cycling (with children, anyway) or walking direct from the site. Lovely area, though.
Lovely site ideally placed. The standard of the Caravan and Motorhome clubs is very high. We will be back.
