Came for food and was very happy. Very friendly, efficient service, good food and nice decor. I found the menu a little limited but still had enough options to suit our group.
Ultra friendly and vibrant staff. Always happy to help and provide. Good atmosphere with nice locals. Food portion and quality is second to none. Fairly priced as well. Would highly recommend it.

Lovely hotel and restaurant. Location is incredible on the banks of the tidal river. Food and service was better than expected, especially the restaurant team.
Went for afternoon tea overlooking the river in the wonderful garden of the hotel. Was perfect on a beautiful sunny afternoon. Lovely and highly recommended.

The Quay, Wareham BH20 4LP, UK – 01929 552010
Great food and fantastic quayside location!! It would be hard to find a better location than this ancient quay that now offers boat hire or tours from it. Sit upstairs on the outside balcony on a lovely warm day and it's heaven.
Lovely waterside pub. Great outside terrace with views over the river and lovely inside space too. Very intimate for the size of restaurant. Food is fantastic. Very friendly service and dog friendly.
Wareham Road, Sandford BH20 7AE, UK – 01929 550800
I have stopped at the Sandford last Sunday while on a bike trip around the area for a pint. We saw the hog roast so we decided to stop for lunch as well. The meal was so good, with succulent meat and lots of veggies and trimmings on the side.
Great family Pub, safe play area for kids, food was fab and served quickly. Very happy over all, thumbs up from me
St John's Hill, Wareham BH20 4LZ, UK – 01929 552995
Beautiful building right in the heart of Wareham, can't help feeling it lacks gravitas. They are solid people running it on a shoestring and keeping it going, which is the most important thing ! Too many places get crushed under the pubco fist of destruction. My heart goes out to the good folk of "The Bear" across the road. It's one of the last "Great Anglo-Saxon" towns of our goodly shires that easily holds itself against the modernistic types wanting to wash everything with plastic and lies. I like the place, many won't if I'm honest, But like the Duke and the other "Big Five" of Wareham, it is part of the town and should be visited. The Quay and even the chip shop, the hardy guy at the mobility shop (yes ...it has one !!) ...and a library. (Maybe I should be sending this to the tourist board ? ) . Public Houses and the like only exist by patronage....go on .... Enjoy England !
Lovely staff very knowledgeable

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
1 Manorfarm Cottage, Wareham BH20 6AW, UK – 01929 462870
A lovely clean site, very quite and peaceful, site owners are very helpful and friendly. Showers and toilets are always clean, the site is very neat and well presented. Access might be tight for the larger caravan if approaching from the north. We spent a week here and had fantastic weather which always helps. Lots to do in area and only 5 to 10 min drive from the beautiful Lulworth Cove, and about 12 miles from Poole. We would visit again if in the area and would recommend this site to anybody who prefers the quieter site, 5 star.
Nice owner, nice site!
Hunter's Moon Club Site, Cold Harbour, Wareham, Dorset BH20 7PA, UK – 01929 556605
We stayed for 3 nights and were warmly welcomed by the warden. The site was clean and tidy,as were all the facilities. We found plenty to do in the local area and thoroughly enjoyed walking through Wareham Forest. We found the Hillfort, walked to Wareham (a lovely traditional town) and enjoyed a delicious meal at The Silent Woman pub just down the road (although we found it safer to walk through the forest) We look forward to many return visits x
Quite frendly very clean helpful wardens

Decent no frills site. Water and electric hook up available. Toilet facilities weren't great but only there for one night so wasnt an issue. Nice owner and good facilities for bbqs and fire pits. Good for groups.
