Ultra friendly and vibrant staff. Always happy to help and provide. Good atmosphere with nice locals. Food portion and quality is second to none. Fairly priced as well. Would highly recommend it.
We (3 adults, 4 kids, and a baby) stopped in for some hot drinks in the late morning. Hot chocolate for the kids and lattes for the adults. Service was efficient and with a smile. The venue was perfect for the kids and for us - a bit chunk of space and comfy/pleasant surroundings for all.

Nice location and grounds. I had a room with a balconey, the rooms are clean and tidy but you only get freeview tv. Basic tea & coffee in rooms. I think the price is too high for what it offers but I did not use spa facilities. The restaurant/dinner was nothing special and breakfast was meh! I felt it had spent too much time under a heat lamp (crunchy mushrooms.) The staff are friendly and helpfull but there is nothing there that I would want to restay. Overall I wish I'd stayed somewhere else. One other thing you cannot have is breakfast served to your room untill 8 am! I wanted breakfast in my room but as checking out at 7.30am but had to go to the restaurant. As I said for the price I paid I could of done much better elsewhere.
Nice clean hotel, they have spent a lot of time doing it up recently, The food is maybe not so great.

Went for afternoon tea overlooking the river in the wonderful garden of the hotel. Was perfect on a beautiful sunny afternoon. Lovely and highly recommended.
It was my son's 40th birthday,, it was also Easter Saturday ! I rang a week earlier to ask if they could take three people. for the Saturday evening meal.. " We have a Private party but we will fit you in", was the reply. On arriving we were taken to their lovely upstairs lounge, over looking the Rose gardens and the River From. It was a bright spring evening with the sun just going down behind the Purbeck hills. We were offered drinks and shown the menu. Everything relaxed and very organised. When our table was ready , the waitress took us down into their Basement restaurant. The whole atmosphere was wrapped in history of the Old Priory, but the meal was the finest French Cuisine , and quite honestly, I cannot wait to go back there.

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

A lovely clean site, very quite and peaceful, site owners are very helpful and friendly. Showers and toilets are always clean, the site is very neat and well presented. Access might be tight for the larger caravan if approaching from the north. We spent a week here and had fantastic weather which always helps. Lots to do in area and only 5 to 10 min drive from the beautiful Lulworth Cove, and about 12 miles from Poole. We would visit again if in the area and would recommend this site to anybody who prefers the quieter site, 5 star.
Nice owner, nice site!

We stayed for 3 nights and were warmly welcomed by the warden. The site was clean and tidy,as were all the facilities. We found plenty to do in the local area and thoroughly enjoyed walking through Wareham Forest. We found the Hillfort, walked to Wareham (a lovely traditional town) and enjoyed a delicious meal at The Silent Woman pub just down the road (although we found it safer to walk through the forest) We look forward to many return visits x
Beautiful site, went out of season so it was blissfully quite

We stayed at The Lookout at the beginning of the school holidays. The site is very clean the showers are brilliant always VERY VERY clean. The play area is great lots of room for the children too play and kick a ball around The shop is very well stocked up and the staff are very nice. We will definitely be staying to ago. The price per night is good not a rip off like the well known sites. Also we found the best Fish and chip shop in the uk The Fish Plaice. The look out is a good place too stay if you like too visit lots of different places
Loved it, we got a pitch right by the park so the kids could play there until sunset. Lovely clean facilities and a cracking little shop. Will definitely be returning.
