Hotels Wareham

The Priory Hotel

Church Green, Wareham BH20 4ND, UK – 01929 551666

What a stunning hotel and restaurant situated in Wareham. Went there for a lovely lunch today with friends. Crossed over from Sandbanks on the chain ferry (£4,50 for a car one way) and drove down to Wareham through lovely countryside. We had booked earlier over the phone and luckily managed to get a table. The service and the Food is second to none and in a most beautiful setting. I would definitely recommend this Restaurant.

Another great visit to our favourite restaurant anywhere. A warm welcome and attentive service. Outstanding meal. Thanks to Gilles and all the staff. Definitely 5 stars.

The Red Lion Hotel

1 North St, Wareham BH20 4AB, UK – 01929 550099

Lovely room we stayed in clean and spacious. All the staff very friendly and polite. Nothing to much trouble. If you like your food then do not miss this place on your bucket list. Will definitely be staying again and passing on to anyone that needs a break. Cheers all at the red lion.

Under new management. Popped in for lunch and were not disapointed. Staff so helpful and friendly. Food was of a high standard and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Wareham Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

The Antelope Inn

13 West St, Wareham BH20 4JS, UK – 01929 552827

I was in the Antelope Inn yesterday for my birthday, we were in a group of 14/15 of us. The staff was more than accommodating for us all. Everyone was friendly, really welcoming. The staff heard it was my birthday and decided to bring out a free tray of shots for the whole group, which was equivalent to roughly £40, they also got the whole pub singing happy birthday to me. Great atmosphere and staff. We was also allowed to get food from the chippy and eat it in the pub... how great is that! I will defiantly recommend. They all made my birthday one to remember. Thank you.

This is a lovely family run pub, very warm welcome, lovely lunchtime food,

Old Granary Wareham

The Quay, Wareham BH20 4LP, UK – 01929 552010

Fabulous food, great atmosphere, wonderful young staff who are all excellent. I must have visited 30 times and I've never had a bad experience. Choose an intimate meal eating in one of the back rooms, or a quick lunch at a table in the bar or a leisurely meal out on the terrace on a sunny day. .... every experience is a pleasure. Only disappointment at my last visit was the new menu, PLEASE bring back the poussin with roasted garlic. My very favourite choice.

This pub/restaurant is sat in such a beautiful place, right next to the canal and is stunning in the summer. Was super blown away by the amount of Vegan and Vegetarian options, which is very rare in Dorset. So yummy! Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be coming back soon.

The Horse & Groom

St John's Hill, Wareham BH20 4LZ, UK – 01929 552222

Run by Father and son this seems to be a well run pub with good home cooked pub food at a reasonable price. Nice small court yard out the back of the pub which is a bit of a sun trap.

Great friendly pub. Were lovely and attentive to myself and family. Food was great. Definitely go again
