Nice small hotel with restaurant good food friendly staff

Friendly and helpful staff, reasonably priced, clean and a nice breakfast too. Lovely location would recommend to anyone looking for a budget stay. Thank you.

Kemps Country House

East Stoke, Wareham BH20 6AL, UK – 0845 862 0315

Great place to stay very comfortable and good food. Highly recommend it.

Pleasant b&b located close to Monkey World, Wareham and Lulworth Cove. Our family room was large, easily accommodating our travel cot and an extra single bed. The decor was dated but clean. The full English breakfast was ok, but not a huge selection.

Springfield Country Hotel Leisure Club & Spa

Grange Rd, Wareham BH20 5AL, UK – 01929 552177

We went for a cream tea for my friend's 21st birthday and it was lovely. The scones were warm and perfectly baked and the coffee was good (although I personally would have preferred it stronger). Only improvement I would suggest is having the staff a little more attentive as we were left to our own devices after we were told it was ready.

Really excellent. Attended a work event and the first time I have been to this hotel. Service was fantastic, all the staff very friendly and a great venue.

Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

The Old Granary

The Quay, Wareham BH20 4LP, UK – 01929 552010

Very nice large bright gastro-pub with great views over the river while still also having plenty of nooks and crannies for those who fancy a more intimate meal. Decent menu with good quality food without the unnecessarily gigantic serving sizes so many places seem to opt for these days. Plenty of space to park outside, currently at around 70p-80p per hour depending on the season. Overall really great experience. I'm looking forward to coming back over this way again soon and would certainly recommend this pub to others.

Such a lovely place with a great view over looking the river. Wonderful staff and a real warm and friendly atmosphere. We sat by the lit log burner which kept us warm on this cold winters day. The food was delicious!! Definetly worth a visit or two.

The Sandford

Wareham Road, Sandford BH20 7AE, UK – 01929 550800

We were really delighted with the food, drink and service. This is not the Hilton but a very good English country pub that is suitable for families wanting a good family meal at a fair price. If you want the Hilton experience then go to the Hilton. Too many pubs are being converted to flats or nursing homes. If we don't use it. We will lose it!!!When was the last time anyone converted a nursing home into a pub????

Thank you for a lovely meal and accomadating us at the RX-8 UK owners club for our last run of the year. Good food and polite staff

The Kings Arms

3 Corfe Rd, Stoborough, Wareham BH20 5AB, UK – 01929 552705

Friendly staff and landlord. Dog friendly area to eat. Prices not the cheapest but worth it as my companion and someone else at another table thought it good enough to send compliments to the chef. As I had more than the driving limit of beer the landlord kindly allowed us to stay in a campervan in his car park.

Food was good but limited still it is just after Christmas and before new year. Service was excellent.

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!
