Great pub, everyone so friendly and helpful, with great food (at least we think so). It's an adult only pub, although children can use the garden area. It's so nice to have a drink and food in a non child peaceful atmosphere. Our food was of good quality (we had Sunday lunches) tender meat, lovely crispy roast spuds, etc. Five star rating from us.
I am surprised that all those who leave negative reviews don't read reviews before visiting. This pub doesn't allow children inside, it advertises itself as Adult only, so if you feel that your children should be allowed inside this is NOT the pub for you. On the other hand if you want to enjoy a pub meal without babies crying and children running around you will find the staff friendly and the prices reasonable and in a lovely location.
