Forget the naysayers - we visited on a wet afternoon in May, and we sat in the front overlooking the street, beside the old inglenook fireplace. The staff were without doubt very friendly to a person, couldn't do enough for you, and the traditional meal was plentiful and hot and tasty. They welcome dogs too. We landed on a quiet time and it was very pleasant and relaxing. OK, so they are not the fastest at serving, but you're not in some high speed town or city here, so don't expect London; you're in rural Dorset, there's a much slower pace to everything. I've been served fast before, and the staff are often stressed and unfriendly. Which would you rather have? Why not take things easy and relax. The meal came to us in the normal time you'd expect and the prices were average, not above - I'm from Yorkshire, trust me I wouldn't pay through the nose! But you also get what you pay for and let's face it, some people are just born to complain no matter what you do for them. We'd certainly go there again next time we're in Wareham.
Looking for local place for breakfast, stopped here, nice space, service a little slow, but not a problem for me, more importantly food was really good, hot, tasty and just the right amount, and people were very friendly. If I didn’t live 100 miles away would definitely go back!
